Colmek Systems Engineering Releases a Variety of Rugged Displays

November 25, 2008 (FPRC) -- Colmek launches the release of their wide line of rugged displays. The rugged flat panel displays are engineered to fit in any environment. They can be made in an assortment of sizes up to 19” and are designed to withstand intense vibrations.
Specially tailored to fit any clients need or interests, Colmek can customize a rugged display exactly to your tastes. Our flat panel displays are cost efficient and can be easily mounted wherever you need them. Whether you are out at sea, airborne, land based, military or a commercial user, we have a rugged display that will fit your needs.
There is a variety of options our rugged displays can be configured to. We offer EMI coating, conformal coating and integrated heaters and coolers. Our display options vary anywhere from 250 to 400 nits of brightness with optional high-bright models ranging from 750 to 1400 nits. The high-bright models are possible due to our advanced LED backlighting technology. Other features include advanced deep dimming (2000:1), multi-drop video buffer and RS232 remote control, as well as a variety of pixel formats.
All of our rugged displays are specially designed to meet extreme weather conditions. They are all tested to be water, dust, shock, and vibration resistant. Our most common operational temperature is -15 to 55C but can be modified to accommodate certain environments. We have different options for graphics adapters including VGA to SXGA and VGA to UXGA. The power supplies on our LCD’s are: 12VDC/24VDC or 110/220VAC power.
